LOST OR FOUND DOGS

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

To all of our friends, supporters, foster carers and all of you who have helped us home and have homed our dogs, and those of you that support us by making donations or purchasing items from our shop pages, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We have been asked to re-home a record number of dogs this year, many of whom needed a signficant amount of care and some we have decided to keep on permanent foster due to their poor health or old age. Some we were not able to take in as quickly as was required due to lack of foster spaces and sadly these dogs were therefore not re-homed by us and we do hope they found caring and loving homes.

Without the support of you all we would simply be unable to help as many dogs as we do. We are eternally grateful.

Therefore, we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.

APPEAL - LOVING HOME DESPERATELY WANTED

One of our dogs is an elderly lady and is insulin dependent. She is visually impaired due to cataracts but is such a good girl and very, very loving.

She is quiet, well behaved and all she is looking for is someone who can love her back unconditionally and be prepared to give her her insulin injections daily.

If you think you could offer a loving home to this lade, look at Available Dogs page under reference AV 177 and call Hanna to find out more information.

 URGENT HELP NEEDED

We would like to thank everyone who has made offers to foster our dogs.

URGENT - EXPERIENCED FOSTER HOMES REQUIRED

We are being asked to take in even more dogs and are in the awkward situation of making people wait as we simply do not have the foster homes available to put them in. Although we have had some people offer, we feel that we need homes where people are fully aware of the pro's and con's of caring for rescue dogs. Rarely are there aggression issues but they may have separation anxiety issues, may have a dislike or preference to either males or females based upon their previous experiences, may hate cates or other small animals etc. Therefore we do not have the luxury of offering someone the chance to foster for us and within a week ask to move the dog elsewhere because it may bark when they go out or come in or it tiddles on the floor in the night.

Therefore, if you really believe you could cope with caring for one of our dogs on a temporary basis (weeks to a few months perhaps), please do call hanna for a chat.

We are ALWAYS looking for foster homes for Poodles , especially Standards as many people prefer to foster the smaller Miniature or Toy poodles. If you can help look after a poodle, especially a Standard until we can home them, call Hanna now.

OUR PURPOSE

POODLES IN NEED rescues and re-homes all three sizes of poodle. It was felt there was a need for a rescue service who truly understood the needs of a poodle, especially during the traumatic time of needing to be re-homed.

We are a non-profit making organisation,
co-ordinated by one woman based in Lincolnshire. With the help of voluntary foster-carers spread throughout most of the U.K.

If you are considering giving a poodle a home PLEASE consider giving a home to one of the beautiful rescue poodles as an alternative to buying a puppy. The dogs coming through our rescue vary in age, size and health. Most people do not realise just how many rescue poodles are out there, especially boys! They have so much love to give.

POODLES IN NEED almost always have poodles needing permanent homes (and occasionally other dogs).  Please look at our AVAILABLE page.

We have limited funds, mostly from the small adoption fees charged when homing a dog. Therefore if you are not in a position to home a dog from us but would be interested in helping us in our efforts, please see our FUNDRAISINGSPONSORSHIP , DONATE  NOW  and we have some great Poodle items on our SHOP  pages.

So whether its old or young, whether its a Toy, Miniature or Standard Poodle you need to re-home or are looking to offer a home to, please do look through our website and call us. These dogs cannot help what colour or sex they are nor if they are old or good health or not. They all deserve a loving, forever home.

PLEASE NOTE: We are not affiliated with any other rescue service, kennel, breeder or internet site in any way and all communication related to any of the dogs on this site or in our care must be addressed to HannaCONTACT US

Mollie King of The Saturdays supports us !

“ I absolutely adore my Toy Poodle, Alfie. If any of the three sizes of poodle would suit your lifestyle and you are considering a rescue, then rest assured that Poodles In Need will carefully match the right dog to you. I fully support their amazing work.

With love, Mollie King, The Saturdays.”

We would like to make it clear that although Mollie supports us,

she did not get Alfie through us.
