We are ALWAYS looking for foster homes for Poodles , especially Standards as many people prefer to foster the smaller Miniature or Toy poodles. If you can help look after a poodle, especially a Standard until we can home them, call Hanna now.
Thanks to everyone who offered to foster and we are still desperate for new foster homes.

Poodles Looking For Their New Forever Home
NB. Please see our LOOKING FOR A POODLE? page before you decide on a dog. Regardless how experienced you feel you are as a poodle owner, we must follow certain protocols and this page will explain what we go through before rehoming a dog as NO EXCEPTIONS will be made
PLEASE, PLEASE...if you find a dog before we can offer you one, DO LET US KNOW. It saves us time, effort and cost in trying to contact you. Many thanks!
Here are some of the poodles (and occasionally other dogs) we have ready for re-homing.
This may not always be an up-to-date reflection of all of the dogs we have in our care. If you are serious about adopting a dog, please call Hanna as she knows of all the dogs we have and those due in soon.
Some dogs are only with us for a week, sadly some seem to stay with us for a few months. Therefore please scroll down to through the list for newcomers.
NOT ALL RESCUE DOGS HAVE ISSUES The lad in the photo came in when he was 4 months old and the person who bought him had several young children and just could not cope with a young dog as well. Many of the dogs we have are here due to marriage breakdowns, owners ill health or death. These dogs have been loved and are well adjusted and socialised.
We will never turn a dog away. All the poodles (and sometimes other dogs we take in for re-homing) cannot help what colour they are, what sex they were born, what age they are nor the state of their health. They all need to be looked after and deserve a loving, forever home for the rest of their days.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not affiliated with any other rescue service, kennel, breeder(s) or internet site in any way and all communication related to any of the dogs on this site or in our care must be addressed to Hanna CONTACT US

Please remember: from your initial enquiry to Hanna to you recieving our enquiry form,
having a homecheck at which ALL family members are present throughout and that being reported back to us,
it can take a few weeks before you can go visit a dog in its foster home.
There are NO EXCEPTIONS to having this process completed.

14/01/14: A delightful little boy in good health, neutered and in his fourth year.
He is affectionate, fun loving and very quick to learn. Loves his walks and going to doggie school where he has recently passed the KC good citizen bronze level test. He is lively and energetic but calm when needed – very good in the car. He had a sheltered life and is getting used to the wider world very well. He's not really nervous, but wary of things and situations which are new – he soon gets used to them. He is good with other dogs and walks well on the lead. His recall in foster care was established very quickly. He is clean in the house and doesn't destroy anything except soft toys!! He is fine to groom both at home and at the groomers.

This lad has recently arrived and due for his vetcheck next Tuesday where he is also having a dental as his mouth/teeth are in a dreadful state. More details and a photo to follow.
he is a very sweet dog. He is excellent with children and very sociable with other dogs. He can be left for short periods eg shopping etc. We are not sure what he is like with cats as he has not lived with any. He seems to love everybody and everything. He travels well in the car and loves going for a walk

4/1/15: This black Miniature lad needs an experienced Poodle owner who would take him to obedience/
agility /flyball classes as he would benefit from the physical and mental stimulation. He could need a few months to settle in as he has shown to suffer some fear related anxiety but is a really lovely chap and given the right amount of confidence building, would make a wonderful companion. We feel he should be an only dog

This lad has recently arrived and here is a summary from
This cream Miniature is due to be neutered this week.. So far he seems a nice boy who has settled in well with my other dogs. He is sleeping and eating well.
He had had no lead training and he has not mastered recall but I am working on that. He does bark at the ducks but he probably hasn't seen any up close before.
He is very affectionate and friendly with everyone and other dogs.
We are sad to say that this lad is still looking for his forever home after the prospective adoptive family decided not to proceed with a rescue dog. This lad is only with us as his previous owner has had to move in to a nursing home which does not allow dogs. He is a little darling.
Having given this much consideration, we feel he would be better homed as an only dog which is what he has been used to. He is absolutely fine with other dogs in the park and whilst playing but can be food possessive when other dogs are around.
AGE: 4 yrs
This lovely girl has Addisons disease. She has been in her foster home a while now and we have also discovered she has 'dry eye'. She is OK with wither Poodles but on a walk can bark at other dogs. We feel this could be down to her condition and medication.
She is completely stable on
the correct level of medication, very active and playful ,adores a ball, shares it with 2 toy poodles on the park ,fun to watch.
If you think you could give a loving home to the poor, poor young girl, please call Hanna as Addisons is a controllable disease with the help of medication and Hanna can offer guidance as to the long term implication
We are now desperately looking for life-long home for this girl with someone who either has knowledge of Addisons or who is willing to work through the illness with her. As mentioned above, we will provide as much help and assistance we can in this respect. PLEASE, PLEASE call Hanna if you think you could offer this girl a stable, quiet, loving home.
Not much more to say about this lovely dog. She is well balanced, not stressed as her medication is at the correct level . She is nothing more than a normal standard with one little issue, she does bark at other dogs when we are out - noise nothing else. No aggression as she has a nice friendly nature, loving to people kids etc, obedient. Loves running & chasing a ball fetches it back for you to throw again lets the other dogs have it if they get there first. We have never know her to growl, not even once .
This lad has been assessed and heakthchecked and ready to be re-homed.
He loves playing with other dogs and likes men but can be unpredictable with women!! Therefore he should ideally be suited to a male household with another dog. Where women are in the household, they would need to be willing to work toward gaining his confidence and be firm with him. Please call Hanna for more information
3/2/14: We are astonished that this dog has not found his loving home yet. All he needs is a male only or a mixed sex household where the woman needs to be strong with their dog. He is good with the foster family as they will not stand for his tantrums!
